Alumni Association Of The Reading Hospital School Of Health Sciences - Nursing Program Scholarship Fund
This fund will provide scholarships to students who are enrolled in The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences - Nursing Program. Recipients must demonstrate academic merit and financial need. In order to apply, applicants must have successfully completed the equivalent of 28 academic units (day students must have completed Level 1, and evening/weekend students must have completed Level 1B) in the Nursing Program. The following funds were combined to establish this fund in 2012: Anonymous Endowment Scholarship Fund, Betty Koons Barthlow Scholarship Fund, Mildred Lotz Lewis Scholarship Fund, Patricia Guzzetti Piersol Student Scholarship Fund, Virginia (Gini) Ann Shugar Hinrich Scholarship Fund. The application must be submitted online between August 1st and October 15th.

Andrew J. Straka, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships to students graduating from Wilson High School who are in the top 50% of their class and have participated in at least two sports in each of their high school years. Contact: Wilson High School

Annie B. Fritch Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by bequest by Annie B. Fritch, who taught in the elementary grades at Parkland for 43 years. Mrs. Fritch was the first teacher in the district to use Phonetics. The fund provides one or more scholarships to female graduates of Parkland School District who will major in elementary education. Contact: Parkland High School

Antietam Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Antietam High School who have been actively involved in both school and community activities. Contact: Antietam High School

Arrow International Scholarship Fund
This scholarship supports high school seniors who are Berks County residents who achieved high scholastic and personal development, demonstrated leadership skills, and plan to continue their education after high school at a four-year college or university. Strong preference will be given to applicants who are children, stepchildren, grandchildren, or step grandchildren of former or current Arrow International employees who were employed by Arrow International as of the date of the sale of Arrow International to Teleflex, October 1, 2007. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Battle Of The Badges Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are children of active police officers or fire fighters serving the City of Reading, or who are the children of retired or deceased police officers of firefighters who served the City of Reading. Students must plan to continue their education after high-school in a vocational - technical program or at a two-or four-year college, university or trade school. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Berks County Association of School Retirees Scholarship Fund
The Berks County Association of School Retirees Scholarship Fund (BCASR) will provide an annual scholarship to a high school senior who is graduating from one of the public schools in Berks County and who will be attending a four-year college or university to major in elementary or secondary education with the intent of becoming a school teacher. Applicants must have obtained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above to apply. Not awarding scholarships at this time.

Berks County Scholastic Athletic Trainer's Association Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established for graduating seniors from Berks County high schools that contract with or employ an athletic trainer. To qualify, students must have participated in training for at least one sport for a period of at least two years during high school and intend to pursue a four-year degree in Sports Medicine at an accredited college or university. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Berks County Tennis Fund
The Berks County Tennis Fund is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults in Berks County through the sport of tennis. Grants from the fund support programs that introduce tennis as a way for children to develop self-discipline, patience, self-confidence and critical thinking skills.

Bertolet M. Bossler Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for Reading High graduates who were active in Arxalma, Knight Life, Red and Black, or Red Pen. Contact: Reading High School

Beth Lynn Negley Manweiler Award for Compassionate Nursing Care
This award was established by Deborah Yoder, Class of 1973, to recognize a member/s of the graduating class of the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences – Nursing Program, Reading, Pennsylvania, who have demonstrated compassionate nursing care. It was established to honor the memory of Beth Lynn Negley Manweiler of the 1973 graduating class. Beth was universally admired and respected for her life-long dedication and compassion for others. The recipient/s of the award must be a senior nursing student/s at The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences – Nursing Program who will be graduating with his/her graduating class. This award will recognize that senior student/s who consistently demonstrated compassionate nursing care during his/her enrollment in the Nursing Program. This should be that senior student/s who is the nurse “you want to take care of you when you are a patient” and is the “heart of a nurse.” This is not an academic award. Award recipient will be selected by the classmates.

Bethany United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund
This fund provides up to two scholarships annually for members of Bethany United Methodist Church in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Applications may be submitted between January 15th and April 1st.

Bill Brumbach Sportsmanship Award
This award was established for graduates of Wilson High School who are known for team spirit, fair play and enthusiasm. This graduation award commemorates Wilson's former athletic director who was instrumental in building the interscholastic sports program. Contact: Wilson High School

Boyertown AMBUCS Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to one or more graduating seniors of Boyertown Area Senior High School who plan to further their education after high school in one of the following fields of study: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, or hearing audiology. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

Boyertown Area Education Association Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships to graduates of Boyertown Area High School who intend to receive a bachelor's degree in education and certification to teach in the K-12 classroom. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

Boyertown Woman in Life Science Scholarship Fund
This fund provides annual scholarships for female graduates of Boyertown Area Senior High School who enroll in a four-year degree program in biology or the health sciences and intend to pursue careers in veterinary science or the health professions. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

Boyertown Young Woman in Science Fund
This fund makes scholarships for 7th and 8th grade female students in the Boyertown Area School District who show an aptitude for and an interest in science, with a particular emphasis on veterinary science. The scholarships will offset costs for experiential programs such as summer camps or internships for these girls. Byron F. "corky" Knoll Memorial Scholarship
This fund is for Berks County students who go to college to major in either Professional Turf Grass Management or Professional Golf Management. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Carl A. Yescavage Scholarship Fund
This fund was established to provide scholarships for Boyertown Area School District graduates who will further their education after high school. The fund is named in memory of Carl A. Yescavage, who served the Boyertown Area School District for 35 years as a teacher and later a principal at New Hanover Upper Frederick Elementary School. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

Carol and David Batdorf Scholarship
This fund provides scholarships for a graduating boy and girl from Tulpehocken High School who have the highest class rank upon graduation. Contact: Tulpehocken Area High School

Carpenter Technology Retired Employees Scholarship Fund
This fund was established to provide scholarships for children of current employees of Carpenter Technology (Berks County site) by the late Dan Kubacki, who retired from Carpenter Technology after 41 years of service. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Carrol A. And L. May Weimer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduating seniors from Nucla High School in Nucla, Colorado, in memory of Carrol A. and L. May Weimer, who were lifelong loving partners and whose family has a long history as farmers and ranchers in Nucla. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Charles Hottenstine Memorial Award Fund
This award is for a Schuylkill Valley High School senior who has exhibited superior achievement and contributions in at least two varsity sports during his or her junior or senior year, with major consideration to be given to the student's character, teamwork and leadership. The student must have maintained a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.20 for his or her junior and senior years. Contact: Schuylkill Valley High School

Chris A. Luppold, CPA Accounting Scholarship
This scholarship was established to support students graduating from Reading High School who are pursuing a career in accounting. Contact: Reading High School

Christopher Whitehead Memorial Fund
This award was established for graduates of Wilson High School who have suffered from and overcome physical difficulties to lead a positive life. In honor of Christopher Whitehead, who was a Wilson student at the time of his accidental death. Contact: Wilson High School

Coach Ray Buss Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Fleetwood Area School District who have played boys varsity soccer, displayed team leadership and good sportsmanship and will continue their soccer career in college. The scholarship is in honor of Coach Ray Buss, a legend in Berks County soccer. Contact: Fleetwood Area High School

Community General Hospital Foundation/june A. Roedel Healthcare Scholarship
This scholarship was established for residents of Berks County undertaking or furthering careers in healthcare. The Community General Hospital Foundation established the fund with the guidance of the late civic leader, June A. Roedel. This fund was transferred to Berks County Community Foundation following her death and renamed in her honor. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Cookie Ganter Memorial Scholarship Fund for Cosmetology
This fund accepts memorial contributions in memory of Cookie Ganter,a 1959 graduate of Reading High School and an award winning hairstylist, renowned educator, and mentor. This fund will provide scholarships for those individuals planning to pursue a career in cosmetology.

Daniel C. Kubacki Sportsmanship Award
This award was established in honor of the late Daniel C. Kubacki, a 1935 graduate of Reading High School and avid sports fan. The fund provides an annual award to a graduating senior at Reading High School who has demonstrated the quality of sportsmanship through his or her involvement in sports at Reading High School. This involvement could be as an athlete or in a support role, such as a team manager, school mascot, cheerleader, umpire, referee or scorekeeper. Contact: Reading High School

Danny Ellis Memorial Fund
The fund was named in memory of Danny Ellis, who would have been a member of the class of 2013. The fund provides an annual scholarship for a graduating Wilson High School student who excelled in high-school athletics. Contact: Wilson High School.

Dave Mccanney Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in memory of David McCanney who passed away in April 2012. The fund will award two scholarships. One will be awarded to a student who attends Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading & Berks County on a regular basis and who will continue his or her education after high school. Recipient will be selected by staff of Olivet’s. The second scholarship will be awarded to a female Wilson High School senior who played on Wilson High School’s lacrosse team in at least her junior and senior years and who is furthering her education after high school at a four-year college or university. Applications are accepted from January 15th to March 27th.

Delbert M. Sharon Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to seniors graduating from Wyomissing High School who will be furthering their education after high school at a college, university, or trade school in one of the following fields of study: Engineering (any type), Auto Mechanics, or Woodworking.

Delta Kappa Gamma International Beta Chapter Scholarship Fund
This scholarship will provide an annual scholarship to a female who graduated from one of the public schools in Berks County and who will be entering her senior year in college at Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University, or Penn State Berks Campus to obtain her four-year degree in Elementary or Secondary Education. Applications are not being accepted at this time.

Diana M. Everson Memorial Scholarship Fund
The fund will provide annual scholarships for graduating seniors who are children of employees of Zee Service Company, Berks County franchise, or alternatively, for graduating seniors at Muhlenberg High School. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Douglas S. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in memory of Douglas Miller for a Schuylkill Valley High School senior who will pursue a four-year degree in engineering or science. The student must be in the top 10% of the graduating class and must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities during high school. Contact: Schuylkill Valley High School.

Earl And Mary Redner And Gary W. Redner Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for employees or children of employees of Redner's Markets, Inc. who will further their education as a full-time college student or graduate student. Applications may be submitted online between November 30th and March 12th.

Earl L. Speicher Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for students graduating from Brandywine Heights Area School District who will continue their education and who demonstrate a well-rounded involvement in sports, music and school or community activities. Contact: Brandywine Heights Area School District

Edith Dohner Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship honors the memory of Edith Dohner, who passed away at age 99 in 2007 after a lifetime of service to her church as a Sunday School teacher and to her family's business, Dohner Memorials. The fund provides renewable scholarships to Reading High School seniors who have a financial need, rank in the top 25% of their graduating class, and who plan to continue their education with the intention of becoming a teacher. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program - Berks County Scholarship Tax Credit Fund
This fund was established to provide scholarships to financially needy residents of Berks County who pay tuition for students to attend grades K-12 in public or private schools in Pennsylvania. Household income requirements are explained on the application, which is accepted between April 15th and April 30th. Click Here

Elizabeth Martelli Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established for Reading High School seniors who have demonstrated talent and have a passion for writing and will further their education after high school. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Ellen M. Madeira Scholarship Fund
This fund provides annual scholarships for one student who does well in Shop and one student who does well in Home Economics at Fleetwood High School. Contact: Fleetwood Area High School

Eppihimer Scholarship
This scholarship was established to support high school seniors who are residents of the City of Reading who are pursuing education in the computer or nursing fields, or vocational or technical training that will lead to employment in the mechanical or industrial trades. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Fund for the Advancement of Access to Justice
This fund will provide financial assistance to those seeking to become certified as a legal interpreter in Berks County.

Gene D. Schoch Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Boyertown Area High School who have received no other scholarships and are in need of tuition for higher education. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High School

George V. and Dorothy M. Prutzman Family Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established for graduates of Boyertown Area High School who will attend a two- or four-year college or university and who exhibit a thirst for knowledge, are in the top 15% of their graduating class and involved in the community. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High School

Georgine Dorrian Kearney Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for a female Exeter High School student who is furthering her post-secondary education in order to pursue a career in the medical field. Contact: Exeter Township High School

Gilmore Henne Community Fund
This fund will provide a scholarship to a male and a female senior graduating from Wilson High School who achieved a cumulative high school GPA of 3.25 or higher, and played at least two sports throughout all of their high school years. Applicants must be furthering their education at a two or four-year college, university or trade school. Applications are accepted from January 15th to March 27th.

Governor Mifflin Continuing Education Loan Fund
This fund provides monetary loans to student graduates of the Governor Mifflin Senior High school for use in an accredited post high school course for the futherance of his or her education. Applications are due between February 15th and April 1st. Contact Governor Mifflin High School for an application.

Graduate Nurse Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was established in 1919 to honor three graduates who died while serving in World War I: Marie Hidell, Eleanor Cassidy, and Mary J. Scheirer. In 2010 the fund was transferred to Berks County Community Foundation for administration. This scholarship is available to any member of the Alumni Association of The Reading Hospital School of Nursing or any past graduate of the School of Nursing who is pursuing an advanced degree. Applicants must be enrolled in a NLN (National League for Nursing) and/or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) approved program and must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctoral degree in nursing, or a Master of Science degree in a health related field. Applications may be submitted at anytime through March 1st. Applications submitted after March 1st will be reviewed the following year.

Greg Prosseda Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund gives scholarships to Berks County high school students who were active participants on their high school golf team and will be playing on the college golf team or plan to enter the Professional Golf Management program or the PGA Club Professional School. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Grip Dreamer Scholarship
This fund provides college scholarships to students who are not eligible for Federal and/or Pennsylvania or is/are otherwise ineligible for financial aid.

Gudrun R. Wilson Schuylkill Valley Middle School Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established to provide scholarships to Schuylkill Valley High School students who attended Schuylkill Valley School District in grades six, seven and eight, and fit into one of the following categories: 1. Students who are pursuing a degree in the field of education 2. Students who once were or are identified as learning support or learning disabled and are pursuing a degree in any field 3. Students who have overcome adversity in their lives and are pursuing a degree in any field. This scholarship was established in memory of Gudrun Wilson, who was a highly respected principal of Schuylkill Valley Middle School by her colleagues, students and members of the community. Hamburg Area/schuylkill Valley Association Of School Retirees Scholarship Fund (HASVASR)
The Hamburg Area/Schuylkill Valley Association of School Retirees Scholarship Fund (HASVASR) will provide two annual scholarships, one to a Hamburg Area High School senior and one to a Schuylkill Valley High School senior who will be attending a four-year college or university to major in elementary or secondary education with the intent of becoming a school teacher. Applicants must have obtained a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above to apply. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Helen M. Clymer Scholarship
This scholarship was established to support single mothers who are residents of Berks County and are furthering their education. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Helen Monkiewicz Kubacki Scholarship Fund for Mount Carmel High School
This scholarship was established for seniors from Mount Carmel High School in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania and who are pursuing a two-year, four-year or hospital RN program after graduation. This scholarship was named in memory of Helen Monkiewicz Kubacki, a 1936 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. Contact: Mount Carmel High School

Helen Monkiewicz Kubacki Scholarship Fund for Wilkes University
This fund will support scholarships for students who are currently enrolled in either the Generic or Registered Nurse Undergraduate Program at Wilkes University. This award is not eligible to high school seniors. Eligible individuals must have successfully completed at least one year in either the Generic or Registered Nurse Undergraduate Program at Wilkes University. Contact: Wilkes University Nursing Department

Henry E. Williams, Jr. Memorial Golf Award
This award was established in memory of Henry E. Williams, Jr., a long-time golf professional and retired head pro at Moselem Springs Golf Club. The fund supports scholarships for graduating seniors from Berks County who will major in a Professional Golf Management Program, attend a PGA Club Professional School, or intend to play golf on a college golf team. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Hispanic Center Scholarship - Non-traditional Student
This scholarship was established for academically talented Latinos in Berks County who are pursuing post-secondary education. The fund was established with proceeds from activities during the Reading 250th Anniversary Celebration honoring Latinos in the city. Fill out this form if you are a non-traditional student. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Hispanic Center Scholarship - Traditional Student
This scholarship was established for academically talented Latinos in Berks County who are pursuing post-secondary education. The fund was established with proceeds from activities during the Reading 250th Anniversary Celebration honoring Latinos in the city. Fill out this form if you are a traditional student (a high-school senior or currently enrolled in college).This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Howard D. and Rose E. Goodwin Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Antietam High School who reside within the school district and who need and desire financial assistance to further their college education. Contact: Antietam High School

Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide scholarships to graduates of Berks County, Pennsylvania, high schools who are entering their second year at an accredited law school. The fund is in memory of Howard Fox, who was a member of the Berks County Bar Association and an attorney in the Public Defenders Office at the time of his accidental death. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 1st.

Irv Noll Memorial Scholarship Fund
The fund will provide annual scholarships to benefit one or more seniors who attend one of Berks County's public or parochial high schools, and who will be furthering their education after high school, and have played on either the high school's golf, basketball or baseball teams for at least 2 years. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

James Dicindio, Jennifer Gilbert, Leslie Saponsky, Boyertown Area Key Club, Kiwanis Club Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established for graduates of Boyertown Area Senior High School who are members in good standing of the High School Key Club and who have achieved academic success, demonstrated leadership and have provided service to others. The scholarship is named in memory of three Boyertown students who perished in an automobile accident in 1996. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

James E. Mabon, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Exeter School District who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, involvement in community service and school activities and are in pursuit of a bachelor's degree. The fund is named in memory of a life-long Exeter Township resident. Contact: Exeter Township High School

James W. Churchill Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund was established to provide scholarships for a male senior who is graduating from Governor Mifflin Area Senior High School and who will pursue a four-year degree at a college or university. Recipients must be participants on the Governor Mifflin wrestling team. Contact: Governor Mifflin Area High School.

Jan Millard Memorial Fund
This scholarship is for Berks County students who participated on the boys cross-country team during high school, with preference given to students from the Twin Valley School District (Twin Valley School District students may live outside of Berks County since the district crosses county lines). Contact: Twin Valley High School

Jeffrey S. Remley Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for students of Fleetwood Area High School who are pursuing post-secondary education and have the intention of playing soccer in their collegiate years, and was a member of the boys varsity soccer team. This fund was established in memory of a Fleetwood alumnus. Contact: Fleetwood Area High School

Jere Gabrielle Award
This award is for Wilson High School graduates who are outstanding in art. Named in honor of a Wilson alumnus who was in the first graduating class of Wilson High School – 1930. Contact: Wilson High School

Jere O'Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating Daniel Boone High School student who has excelled in the study of music. Preference is given to students who will pursue a college degree in music. Contact: Daniel Boone High School

Jesse K. Cataldi Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for Antietam High School graduates who participated on any Antietam High School athletic team in their senior year, led by example, and inspired others to better themselves. The fund is in memory of Jesse Cataldi, a 1996 Antietam graduate. Contact: Antietam High School

Jim and Margie Fegley Orchestral String Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to Berks County residents pursuing a degree or certificate in music, more specifically, orchestra strings.

Jim And Ruth B. Daley Family Fund
This scholarship was established to support Berks County residents who are continuing their education. The first preference for distribution from the fund is to cover items such as living expenses, professional testing fees, books, childcare, transportation and other emergency needs. Secondly, the fund will cover tuition or academic fees. High school seniors are not eligible. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Jim Brett Global Conservation Education Fund
This scholarship was established for international students who wish to study environmental management and conservation education in Berks County. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.

John Rich Curran Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for students graduating from select high schools in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, who will go on to a four-year college or university. To qualify, students must have at least a "B" average and financial need. Contact: Your high school guidance counselor.

Jorge Luis Acevedo, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to Reading High seniors who intend to enroll in a culinary arts or hotel and restaurant management program after high school. The scholarship was named in memory of Jorge Luis Acevedo, Jr., a student at the school who planned to pursue a career in the culinary arts. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Joyce Boutros Memorial Award Fund
This fund was established to provide awards to Wilson High School graduates who demonstrate adherence to the seven character traits of "Wilson Pride." The annual award is divided evenly between a student who attended Whitfield Childcare Center and a student who was enrolled in the elementary gifted program of Wilson School District. Krista Staudt Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established for students from Conrad Weiser High School, Governor Mifflin High School or Reading High School who intend to further their education after high school and are either cancer survivors or are dealing with or have overcome a medical challenge. Kurr Foundation Scholarship of Tulpehocken Area School District
This scholarship was established for graduates of Tulpehocken Area School District who live in the Bethel Elementary School area and will attend post-secondary educational institutions. Named in honor of the late Mrs. Sara (Kurr) Zock, a native of Bethel Township and generous benefactor to the district for many years. Contact: Tulpehocken Area High School

Lauren Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Lauren Fitzgerald, a 2003 graduate of Wyomissing High School. The fund provides scholarships for seniors from Wilson or Wyomissing High Schools who have overcome adversity and will continue their education after high school. Linda Schrufer - Whitey Miller Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for Reading High School seniors who will continue their education at a four-year college or university in the field of engineering. Contact: Reading High School

Liz Martelli Voices Scholarship Fund
An anonymous donor established this fund in memory of Liz Martelli to provide scholarships to Berks County residents who are graduating high school seniors and who wrote articles in the Reading Eagle Voices newspaper while in high school. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Lombardo Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established for Muhlenberg High School seniors who participated in varsity sports, who had a commitment to academics shown by a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75, and are pursuing a degree. Contact: Muhlenberg High School

Marguerite E. Swartz Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships to students graduating from Wilson High School. Contact: Wilson High School

Martha Ann Boyer And Morris William Boyer Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in memory of twins Martha Ann and Morris William Boyer by their mother. The twins were 1957 graduates of Hamburg High School who went on to become a nurse and a business man, respectively. This fund provides two scholarships each year: one for a Hamburg High School senior who is pursuing a two-or-four year registered nurse program, and one for a Hamburg High School senior who is pursuing a degree in business administration. Masano Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established for the benefit of students graduating from Reading High School. Contact: Reading High School

Matthew Kelly Epitome Of Courage Scholarship
This scholarship is for Berks County students who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis and are continuing their education after high school. The scholarship is named in memory of Matthew Todd Kelly, who courageously battled Cystic Fibrosis for 29 years. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Michael S. Ziolkowski Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships for male and female students graduating from Wilson High School who have participated in sports at the school, are pursuing a degree, and will play sports in college. Contact: Wilson High School

Nathan Prutzman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Nathan Prutzman, a 1999 graduate of Fleetwood High School. The fund provides scholarships for Fleetwood High School seniors who will continue their education after high school. Contact: Fleetwood Area High School

Officer Scott A. Wertz Memorial Berks County Scholarship Fund
This fund is named in memory of Reading Police Officer Scott A. Wertz, who was killed in the line of duty in 2006. The fund provides one or more scholarships for graduating seniors who are children of police officers serving in Berks County, or for players, umpires or children or grandchildren of players or umpires in the Reading Softball Association. Applicants must plan to continue their education after high school, with preference given to students planning a career in law enforcement, law, criminal justice or a related field. Preference will also be given to applicants who reside in Berks County over those applicants who are not Berks County residents. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Oley Valley Community Education Foundation Scholarship
This fund provides scholarships for students graduating from the Oley Valley School District. Contact: Oley Valley High School

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Fund
Scholarships are awarded to residents of Berks County who reside within the attendance boundary of a low-achieving school to attend a participating nonpublic school or a participating public school located in a school district outside the recipient’s school district of residence. Household income requirements are explained on the application, which is accepted between April 15th and April 30th. To learn more: Click Here

Otis S. Rothenberger Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to Schuylkill Valley High School graduating seniors who are furthering their education at a four-year college or university to major in education. Contact: Schuylkill Valley High School

Owls Sports Club Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to members of the West Lawn Owls Legion baseball team. The application must be submitted online between June 15th and August 15th.

Penny Jar Fund
This fund was established in memory of Earl Lehman and provides non-tuition related financial assistance to students enrolled in a college located in Berks County who have encountered an unexpected financial crisis or an unplanned turn of events. Distributions are currently not being made from this fund.

Private School Tuition Assistance Fund
This fund was established to assist students who attend parochial schools in Berks County and demonstrate financial need. Applications are considered in conjunction with the Berks County Scholarship Tax Credit Fund. See Berks County Scholarship Tax Credit Fund for details.

Ralph H. And Florence Moyer Fund
This fund provides apprenticeship awards or vocational training for Berks County individuals ages 18 - 30 who have demonstrated need and potential. Contact Berks County Community Foundation at 610-685-2223 for more information.

Reading High School Scholarship
This fund awards a scholarship to a Reading High School graduating senior who demonstrates the potential to exceed in college, is not receiving other substantial scholarships, has a financial need, and will be attending a two or four-year college, university or trade school.

Reading-berks Association Of Realtors Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships for Berks County seniors who graduate with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and who intend to continue their education in a business program after high school. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Richard And Charlotte Auman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established for graduates of Wilson High School who will pursue degrees in math or science, preferably in engineering. The Auman family established the fund in memory of Charlotte Auman, the former Assistant to the Business Manager at Wilson High School and in memory of Richard Auman. Contact: Wilson High School

Robert And Kenneth Mace Scholarship Fund
This fund was established for graduates of Boyertown Area High School who plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university, who exhibit a strong commitment to academics, an unwavering dedication to extracurricular activities, who persevere through obstacles and provide inspiration to others. This fund is named in memory of Robert Mace, a Boyertown Area High School student who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center and his brother, Kenneth, who died from leukemia in 2012. Russell L. Hiller Charitable Trust
Berks County Judge Russell L. Hiller established this fund by bequest to provide scholarships for Governor Mifflin High School seniors. Contact: Governor Mifflin High School

Samuel Brooklyn Reed Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for Schuylkill Valley High School seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who will go on to a four-year college or university, preferably the University of Pittsburgh, with preference to students who will study anthropology, archeology, or history, or who have an interest in distance running. Sandra J. Massaro Memorial Scholarship Award
This fund was established to honor the memory of Sandra Massaro, a 1976 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from Boyertown Area High School who have maintained a B average or above in high school and intend to further their education in business administration, majoring in accounting. Contact: Boyertown Area Senior High

Scott G. Daelhousen Engineer's Award Fund
This fund provides two annual awards: One award is given to the student who obtains the highest grade on the annual MathCounts test administered by the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. The other award is given to the student who obtains the highest grade on the annual Reading-Berks Science and Engineering Fair Test.

Seidel Family Scholarship
This scholarship is limited to current or former Berks County residents who are or will be attending The Dickinson School of Law. Applicants must have lived in Berks County for at least two consecutive years during their secondary school years. Applications may be submitted online between January 15th and June 1st.

St. Andrew United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for members of St. Andrew United Methodist Church who are high school seniors and whose scholastic record indicates success in education and who are furthering their education after high school as full-time students. This application must be submitted online between January 15th and April 3rd.

Sweet Street Desserts Scholarship
This fund was established to provide scholarships to dependent children of Sweet Street Desserts employees. Contact: Sweet Street Desserts.

Taylor N. Seitzinger Hamburg Area High School Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in 2009 to honor the memory of Taylor N. Seitzinger who was a senior at Hamburg High School when she tragically lost her life in a car accident in March 2009. This fund will provide scholarships to graduating Hamburg Area High School students who will be furthering their education after high school and will be pursuing a four-year degree. Applicants must be active in high school athletics and other school activities and must have achieved a cumulative grade of 86 or above to apply. This application must be submitted on-line between January 15 and April 3.

Third Ward Democratic Scholarship Fund in Memory of Kenneth C. Mock
This fund was established to provide annual awards to one or more well-rounded students enrolled in grades 6, 7 or 8 at Southern Middle School in Reading. The fund was named in memory of Kenneth C. Mock, who was a member and past president of the Reading School Board and was employed by the district for 20 years. Contact: Southern Middle School

Tim Braun Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in memory of Tim Braun, a former softball coach at Muhlenberg High School, for Muhlenberg High School seniors who participated on the Muhlenberg High School softball team. Contact: Muhlenberg High School

Twin Valley Community Education Foundation/ Dorothy S. Groff Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is awarded to outstanding students in the senior class in the Twin Valley School District on the basis of mathematical ability and overall character and attitude. Contact: Twin Valley High School

Wayne R. Weidner Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established by National Penn Bancshares in honor of Wayne R. Weidner's retirement in December 2007. Scholarships are awarded to Oley Valley High School seniors selected by the high school principal who are pursuing post-secondary education at a two or four year college, university or trade school. Contact: Oley Valley High School

William And Beulah Eshelman Memorial Fund
This fund was established in 2010 through a bequest to Calvary United Methodist Church in memory of William and Beulah Eshelman. The fund may provide educational loans to assist deserving, active members of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mohnton, PA, in pursuing some form of post secondary education. Church membership must have been for at least one year to qualify. Members may be attending a 2–year or 4-year college or a vocational school either full or part time or pursing some type of post secondary education through a certification program. Applications may be submitted between April 1st and June 30th.
