Healthcare:
Treating Childhood Health Needs
- What it is: The Community Foundation manages several funds to help families with children who are unable to pay for care for catastrophic illness or disfigurement.
- Who's involved: Three committees make decisions regarding the disbursement of funds from the Arthur O. & Clara Schlegel Fund, Jess's Sunshine Fund and the Dental Treatment Fund. As always, the recommendations of the committees are subject to approval by the Community Foundation's board of directors.
- Objective: To help families with children with unmet healthcare needs.
