Community Leadership
The Community Foundation is creating a leadership ladder to engage children, teens, adults and seniors in our community. Two parts of the ladder are already in place: the Youth Advisory Committee and the Greater Reading Leadership Alliance.

AVAILABLE GRANTS: Each year, the Youth Advisory Committee grants $15,000 to local organizations to meet the needs of youth in Berks County. The YAC members ask for grant proposals on a specific topic in December of each year. Applications are due back in late January. The students conduct site visits in February and March and award the grants in April.
